The company is named after the 15th Century well known Ethiopian Designer, Ezra, who transformed traditional art into a sophisticated controversial design of his time.

The 21st century Ezra Innovative Design was formed from a desire to create new handicrafts and reinvented traditional materials, and to generate new and sustainable employment opportunities for women.
